Anna Maria’s apartment and hosting was, perhaps, the best we have experienced in our use of AirBNB. First of all, the pictures are accurate but don’t fully convey how lovely and well appointed the apartment is. The decoration, amenities and ambience are all excellent. The pictures also make the common space look a little tighter than it is—it is actually very bright and easily accommodated 6 people staying there and interacting. Second, it is all new and Anna Maria clearly invested in making this a comfortable and highly usable apartment. The beds were all very comfortable, the appliances all worked perfectly and the bathrooms were large and have great showers and baths. Third, Anna Maria was an excellent hostess. She met us at the apartment and showed us around (all following good Covid protocols). Moreover, she was so nice and always available for questions and help, whether about the apartment or things to do and see. And she left such wonderful treats for us that made it all feel warm and homey. So, all in all the apartment and Anna Maria were absolutely first class. Moving on, we appreciated the lift in the building as my parents are both 70+ and the building overall is in good shape. We didn’t see many neighbors in our stay, and the street and building were quiet. The location was also excellent for our needs. It is just a couple of blocks from the Colosseum and we found a few restaurants we very much enjoyed right around us. So the area is lively, and while touristy in general, the apartment is just far enough off the path that you don’t get much tourist traffic. And because of its location, there are loads of transportation options and fun areas that are easily walkable (aside from locations over the river like the Vatican we pretty much walked everywhere from the apartment). In short, I can’t think of a way our stay in Anna Maria’s apartment could have been better.
